I'm going to be adding a Rubber Lipped Pleco to my 29g aquarium soon and was wondering if I could get a general list of requirements for this fish. It will be joining a firemouth cichlid, 5 tiger barbs and a golden wonder/striped panchax killifish. I currently have a fake log that the fiiremouth uses most and another makeshift "cave" made from some rocks found by Lake Champlain. Will these two areas be enough for the both of them? Or should I try to add a third spot? It's my understanding that the pleco requires some shelter for the daytime hours. Thanks for any input.

Plecos do best with real wood...they rasp away at it. You'll need to feed it algae wafers as well...

Other than that, fairly easy keepers. I like the rubber-lipped ones...cuties...(in that prehistoric way)...
