I know that Aulonocaras are sand dwellers and like to eat crustacens out of the sand and other things that live there. Is there any type of food or bug or snail or whatever I can buy to give them that experiance in my tank?

What do you guys feed your Peacocks? I know I would like to be able to give them a variety of food.

NLS will give them the best colors, growth, health, etc. They do not need the live inverts just like oscars don't need live fish. Variety used to be necessary to get them all the nutrients, but NLS is a truly complete diet that will give you the best results. I have tried a variety, but NLS alone will give you better results. I give mine the Jumbo Fish Formula (Floating, 4.5mm).

New Life Spectrum is great.

I also see mine nibble on a Spirulina tablet that I put down for my catfish
