well the last few attempts at keeping bichirs didn't turn out too well, but a while ago i saw a 9 inch sengal at the lfs, priced 39 dollars, but i had to have that beauty! i researched and went back and got him, quarantined him, and now he is very active in my main tank. i wonder if i should have gotten the 90 gallon with stand and other gadgets for $250...... MUST RESTST M.T.S.!!!!!

I like the bichirs, too. Cool looking things.
MTS was easy for me to get over once I noticed how much my electric bill had risen each month. I've gone the other way.....from 6 tanks to 2.

I love Bichirs too! I currently have a 17" Ornate that is a ton of fun to watch! I've always been partial to the primitive fishes though! thumbs2:

I got over MTS once I realized how little time I had to myself...it seemed like the gravel vac became a permanent appendage at the end of my arm! I cut back a few, but still have my lager pred tank in my future. I think i'm down to 6 tanks at the moment!

MTS doesn´t have to do much for the electirc bill if you don´t keep too much plants.
And yes I do love them as well.
