Well I have a tropica fern that I was instructed not to bury the rhizome of, so I simply anchored it to a rock as I see most people do with similar plants, but I also see that you can still put it in substrate as long as the rhizome is not buried. So I was just wondering, where exactly is and what does the rhizome look like? If anyone could direct me to a picture that demonstrates this or simply draw an arrow on paint over one of their pictures it would be much appreciated :22: .

There is a photo I found on google, http://www.freewebs.com/fruitbat/javarhiz.jpg The rimzone is above the roots.

Yeah, the mostly horizontal part of the plant that the roots and stems are attached to. As long as it's sitting on the substrate or mostly uncovered, it'll be fine.
