I have a new unknown critter in my salt tank!

On one of my top pieces of LR, theres 5 6" thin white sticks pointing up, and they have a few little hairs around the middle. Theyre not connected, theyre individual. A pic would be hard, since id have to get rid of the algae on the glass.

Whats this kritter?

Is there something I'm missing with SW tanks? Do you want this algae on the glass?

SW tanks have much more buildup since you need fluorescent lights, and blue actinic. There is generally more wattage in SW tanks, =ing more algae. I used to scrape it, but it came back within a day so i just gave up and let it grow wild.

get rid of it. it is either bubble algae (on the critter guide I made) or its caulerpa racemosa.

yet another thing!

I found some anemone in a cranny. It looks like condy, but is smaller, and more purple with thin arms. Is it aptasia?
