Need help!

I have a 20g tank with one 3" Gold Piranha. The tank has a 20g filter, should i get a larger filter.

confusing post.What is a gold pirhana and what do you mean by "long filter".If you mean a bigger filter then no,it will do with only one 3 " fish.Can you post a pic of this fish or a link to an image of one?

New to the site. Its a Gold piranha about 3" long.

I'm assuming that it is "Gold Piranha - Serrasalmus spilopleura".

At 3 inches if it's alone you would have enough filtration.

Assuming it IS Serrasalmus spilopleura, I would advise upgrading that tank as well.

At 3" your tank is fine for now.You will need a much larger tank and filtration soon though.
They do not stay small if this is your fish.
