Hey guys,

http://www.aqua-fish.net/show.php?what=fish&cur_lang=2&id=190
I know both species of fish well angle fish and Glass Fin Tetras. And keep both.

Just never tried them together. Would you think the angle would be okay with them? I know they are not quite the right shape torpedo shape with angels. But then again mine are very large about 3 inches long with the Glass fin Tetras.

My concern is would they nip the angles fins? I have seen them nip small fish like Guppies and Bettas.

Cheers,

mac

If they nip at those fish they will most likely go for the angels.

Prinobrama filigera, of which I have several dozen, grow to a bit more than two inches, meaning they'd be too large for your angels to consider food.

Since glass bloodfins prefer to hang in space together and are gentle fish, I very seriously doubt they'd ever be a danger to your angelfish's fins, since they don't have finnage that flow and wiggle the way Bettas and male Guppies fins do.

I would think that problems would be in the other directions. Large angelfish will eat neon and rummynose tetras if they are in the same tank. They eat pretty much anything that fits in their mouths. Obviously all situations are different though. You can try putting them together but just make sure you have a backup plan in case they don't get along.

The glass bloodfins can be nippy and may nip at the angles fins. But on the otherhand if they are in a larger school with lots of cover they may be fine. They are big anough that I wouldn't worry about the angles eating them.

I havn't counted how many there are. but there should be about 20.
As for the angle it is a Vale tail with atitude. But he dose not seem to mind Bleeding Hearts or Harlquines. So he may be okay.

Give it a try. The tank is a 400lt cube, heavy planted so no probs there.
