View Full Version : Two plecos

Got a video of the new guy eating right next to the big one. They had some bickering at first, the little one actually bullying the big one(little one is actually about 10 years old), but since then no aggression between them.

any ideas on what kind this little guy is? I dont think its a BN. He looks just like a tiny common pleco to me.

Nice plecos. I can't tell what type it is, the video is too dark. Can you get a photo?

I agree it is to dark to see any colors or patterns for an ID.

There are not that many small plecos but a pic would be best.

I'll see what I can do once the camera is charged. Figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Looks like a common to me.

wouldnt it be a lot bigger at 10 years old if it were a common? that was why i thought maybe it wasnt

Most likely, but, not nessiserally. It doesn't look like a bristle nose to me. The markings look like a common, but there are many species of plecos and many more that are unknown.

I'll try and get some different angle shots of him. His coloring looks like a common, but his tail looks a tad different, and his mouth structure as well.

Have you checked out planetcatfish yet? It will really get your head spinning looking at all the different fish that look the same.
