Gorgeous fish. Shame you're so far away - I'd love the chance to be able to breed my girl with a male with such beautiful fins.

Great patterning! Awesome looking fish! Kind of reminds me of a tiger shark ;-)

Hey! Using photos of your girl to show him his options is both unfair and annoying that I didn't think of it first! :hmm3grin2orange:
Joking. =P

You should still show off your gal...hehe...I only thought of posting the pic because of your post.
Or is that her as you avatar?

Yep, that would be her head. Her belly has a lot more white than most Gouramis I've owned. I was going to breed her, but the potential mate died before he was mature, and I no longer have room to house another.

It truly is a gorgeous male, though, that you have Bass. I'd kill to be able to get my hands on his genes. :hmm3grin2orange:

lol. Thanks everyone!
No need to fight over him though. He would totally treat those two ladies with gentlemanly respect. :22: I agree, breeding him would be awesome.:hmm3grin2orange:
I've been trying to get a good shot of him for like 8 months, and finally got a good one!

Beautiful.
Do you guys have floating plants, or some other kind of cover? I was thinking of getting a gourami, but I believe I need to grow my tank out a bit first.

No cover for my girl. She's quite the witch, and attacks anything that appears above her. Even my floating parts of hornwort she tore down until they got stuck in the leftover few plastic plants I have.

No floating plants here. He is uber aggressive and attacks anything that isn't anchored down!

The Gold strains of the Three-Spot are generally very grumpy fish. :evil: :lol:
Afterall... Would you be happy if you had to wear bright yellow everyday for your entire life? :hmm3grin2orange:
