I have a breeder net up in my smaller tank with platy fry inside. I put it against the wall of the tank so that it wouldn't obstruct the view.
Unfortunately, my neon tetra got stuck between it and the glass and is now dead.
I feel badly for the little guy. :(

thats what happened to me. I have the nutrafin co2 system, and one of my golden tetras got wedged in the bubble counter, and i found it 90% dead and had to kill it.
Sucks

Sure does. My fish is under a guarantee, but it still sucks to see one die.
Sorry about your tetra. I like the little guys a lot.

Same goes for any decorations next to the walls of the tank or even rocks. Sponge filter sitting to tight to tank walls almost done in a bala shark, as well.

if breeder nets dont go next to the tank wall, where else they suppose to go, they are supplied with metal hooks to attach to the glass side. i do often find some of my fish inbetween the net and glass, but they always manage to get out

I have to concur that the bubblecounter for the nutrafin CO2 system is a death trap for small, stupid fish. I have a peticular fancy guppy that would keep swimming up the small dead in hole that wedges against the glass. One time he got part of his back fins damaged as I was setting him free. I solved the problem however by blocking the hole with a piece of plastic and aquarium sealant.
