My 5 gallon and 2.5 gallon tank Journal

I'm thinking about changing/adding filters. I've pondered and I think it might work! Instead of putting it directly in, I can use a bucket/tub and make sure the filter works on that. Then, 2 weeks later, put it in the tanks!! Good, right?

I have been saving up my money, so far I have $50.00
I think thats enough, but I really think that my dad will chip in--a lot, like...pay the whole thing. :P

Hmmm...from what I'm understanding from your post, you are thinking about running the new filters on the bucket first, correct?

If that is the case, I would not actually do that. I would put the new filters directly on with the old filters on the tank for a while to let the bacteria build up before taking off the old filters. That's my two cents. :22:

My fish are doin' good. Tomorrow, when I do the water change, I'm going to remove the gravel because they are VERY large. Also, I will be going to Petland that day, perfect time to buy new filters. I was going to first practice them on a bucket but Oscar_freak12321 told me i didn't need to do that. That's all I have to say today. :) :22:
