So last night, I found my Betta, General Fin, down at the bottom of the tank. Which baffles me, as just about 30mins before, I check on him in his tank. And he was doing his normal behavior. Then I when I go to turn the light off for the night he was gone.

General Fin shall be missed, I was just glad I saved him from a life of a crapy cup, and gave him a heated and 10g tank.

Sorry about your fish.
Any idea what caused it?
Are you going to save another?

I'm going to replace him with another one. I'm sure he was just old. We';ve had him a long time, and who knows how old he was when I got him.

Sorry for the loss, bettas only usually live 2 years, I bet you gave him a good life.

Betta really are 'pet' fish. I know that in having lost them that they're hard to see go. Betta live 2-3 years commonly so we only get to have them in our lives for a short time unfortunately. All we can do is give them a good home, feed them well and share their brief but beautiful life.

Sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear that. It is always difficult to lose a great fish that you are close to over time.
