I got some time last night to trim the plants and clean up some algae in our betta tank. Other then a little black beard algae on the intake, which I suspect is due to very old bulbs, it came out pretty good

Let me know what you think. The plants have been in there for close to a year, and other then 75% water changes every other week I haven't done much else.

Thank you:ssmile:. I use to try dosing flourish and excel, but it caused algae growth and for some reason plant death. After I stopped doesing and decreased water changes everything started looking great.

Nice job on your tank, I just got a 10 gal tank for free, I'm thinking about getting me a betta.

Fabulous tank! I LOVE seeing bettas get lots of room like you've given yours, and I'm sure he loves sitting on the live plant leaves.
