What fish is near the bottom below the wood on pic 5? It's not the pleco or clown loach, it's the other one.

4 line pimeloda I believe, along with a clown loach. That pimeloda may just be a common pictus though...by the way Crispy, that common looks like an absolute MONSTER! thumbs2: How big is he?

I'm starting to think my common may not be a true common. Every picture I see of other people's "common plecos" doesn't look a thing like mine. :ssuprised: (Not that I'd complain if I got something rarer for just six bucks. :hmm3grin2orange:)

Nice pics, though! Are those the ones in the Aro's tank? Or am I thinking of another member completely? lol

post pics of your 'common'.. we can find out what it is.

Yes, they are all in the aros tank.

They sometimes scuffle over veggies and algae wafers, but no harm is ever done. They all have their spots in the tank during the day and are all out at night. I just added 2 ancistrus bringing my pleco total to 6 (5 different types).

I suppose I owe some of my success to the 4 large pieces of driftwood and lots of surfaces for biofilm to grow.

PS oscarfreak, here's my 9" pim blochii (4-line cat)... common pleco is 14"
