View Full Version : Importance of one login

How important do you think it is that you can access all the functions of the site using the same login. Would it be okey if you had to register again to use certain features (you could use the same info for the second registration to).
As an example if AC added an auction function to the site. Would it be okey if you had to register seperatly to be able to post objects to sell and to be able to bid on auctions.

what you mean?

What I mean is that now you can access all features of AC with once you are registered (ie post in the forum, download the ebook etc] But some features that could be nice to have can be hard to integrate in the current user systems so you would in that case have to register again to use such features and I'm wondering if a second login for certain functions would be okey or if you think it is important that you can sue all functions when you have logged in once.

that is hard to say, might be good. you never know untill you try it.

My personal thoughts is that all functions that you use on daily basis should be on the same login but that it for example might be okey to have a second login to as an example bid on auctions which you most likely would do on a less than daily basis.

Well as long as we could use the same info, would we still have the same user names???

That would be up to you. You would have to register a second time to use such features and can than choose the same password/user name.
No. It wouldn't be to hard to remove it again.

You would still have you ransk and everything in the forum. Nothing change unless you want to use new features that migth or might not show up in the future ;-)
