We found this adorable Welsh Terrier running up and the platforms and in and out of various trains (being chased away)on a busy City Railway Station, on New Year's Eve 2004.We immediately gathered the little guy up--he was very friendly and obviously hugely relieved to be rescued. The local Dog Warden was off duty over the holiday period,as was the RSPCA so the local police person( by law,we had to report our taking the little man) asked if we could keephim for a week, until the appropriate Authorities were back in the picture. Of course,no one claimed the lovely little dog,and after 28 days we legally became his owners. He is an utter joy to have; playful, highly amusing, intuitive ( quickly senses our moods!) affectionate (very!) adores our other mutts,loyal,obedient---the list is endless!! And he loves being on the beach but won't go anywhere without one of his many toys. We cannot imagine how anyone could have abandoned ANY dog, never mind one so loving and sweet-natured.Why didn't they take him to a Rescue Centre,or leave him at the Police Station? But then,if they had,we would have missed out on having one of the best companions you could ever wish for!!.!!

I once visited the coast of North Wales. Llandudno. The beach there is wondrous for an inquisitive dog ... so much to sniff-snuffle!

I am glad things worked out so well for you and the pup :ssmile:

18874Amazing--we live not terribly far from Llandudno & visit often, both for business & pleasure, but have the most incredibly wild & vast (when the tide's out it's like being on another planet) stretch of beach much nearer home & take our 3 mutts there as often as possible. 'fraid my pics aren't that good--I've got loads, but have to locate them! Here's pics of our 3 having a great time!
