So I've had a few tanks before, this is not a new adventure. But I've never fought with algea like this before. It is green and just keeps coming back. It's clogging my filter up! I have a flying fox and algea eater and they're overloaded I think. It's a 35 gal tank. This algae is driving me nuts! ALso am getting extremely cloudy water I can't get rid of, no matter what I do. Is it possible there is something in my water causing this? I need some ideas and have a low budget.

Can you describe your setup? What kind of algae is it. What dioes it look like besides being green? How old is the tank and what kind of lighting?

THe tank is a few months old now, overhead floresant lighting( I think) it's the strip lighting. It's slimy, green, comes off in globs. I really don't know how to describe it. No live plants currently as one fish ate them all.

Does your tank get any direct sunlight? What kind of algae eater do you have and are you sure it is a Flying fox?
