I am loving the personality in these guys. The tank is quite new, upgraded from the tiny lil 10 gallon. These fish are only about 2 inches so far so theres a while to they fill out.

LOL thats great, I have the exact same Orange cichlid that dwells in the exact same flintstones cave. It will guerilla ambush any fish that swims by.

ahaha I guess that all their motive. To pretend to be a flintstone and attack anybody that doesn't like it. My little guy seems to be pretty social right now..but they're still young ones.

Nice clear shots, thanks for posting! I like the sand as well.

A year from now the n. livingstonii will be at least 5"-6". They've got a greater growth rate than mbuna's.

I probably will give them to a good home in that time. The tank just isn't big enough to house 2, especially when the other mbunas come. But for now they're a joy to have.

I should be getting a Johanni this week, and hopefully the stones I ordered a couple of weeks ago finally arrive so I can finish the tank.
