any tips on feeding this particular critter?

he spends about half his time attacking and eating bubbles and debris in his tank, and the other half he spends scavenging. (at least im very sure thats what hes doing)

i figured out that he wont really bite at a whole flake, so i have been taking one flake and crushing and crumbling it up and dropping it in, and i see him eating the tiny specks. :19:

ive read you only want to give what they will eat in a couple minutes. well this dude seems to have severe ADD or something, a flake will be floating on one half the tank, while he is poking his nose in the gravel on the other end.

he seems to like to scavenge all the time, so is it ok to put in some more food? how much? im worried that crushed up flakes will cloud the water faster, and rot in there. im sure that cant be good.

im also crushing up the tetrafin color for him also, (tiny bacon bits for fish...or at least thats what it looks like).

how many flakes and/or bacon bits (tetracolor) should he be eating in a day?

When i had mine, he seemed to like to take the plecos algae wafers, so i would drop it in the same corner every time, so i could tell when he ate it all, so i could put in another. I also feed tubifex worms once a week. They come in cubes, and i cut those cubes into quarters and gave him a quarter cube of tubifex worms on sundays. You can drop the cube in, or stick it against the glass below the waterline, and he will come up and take chunks out of it.

Buy some krill and take a small piece of one of the krill and drop it in the tank. They like that. That is pretty much the only thing mine will eat. He also sometimes nibbles on shrimp pelets.
