I have a tank with 2 big ol Golden Mystery snails in it.
This morning I noticed about 20 eggs on the glass in my tank (about the size of pin heads and white).
I got home today from work, and almost all of them are gone (eaten is my guess).
BUT, I noticed a very small brown snail lastnight and found him again today.
He is the same shape of a mystery snail, but he is a boring brown color.
Is this a baby mystery snail, or just an annoying pond snail?
I haven't had a problem with pond snails yet, but I do have live plants, and who knows.
Also, these are the fish that I have in my tank. If you think that one of the these fish may have been the culprit for laying the eggs, that'd be very helpful.
Platys (I know they're live bearers, but just listing everything)
A couple guppies
A few Cory Catfish
A pleco (which I just got 3 days ago)
A dwarf gourami (but I read that they do bubble nests at the top of the water)
A few zebra danios
3 amano shrimp
And 4 kuhli loaches
I am pretty sure that the danios would have much smaller eggs.
My only real fear is that these are pond snail eggs. BUT, also, most of them are gone and proably were lunch for my fishies.
Thanks!
