I was wondering if i could buy a pair of baby jack dempseys and put them in a 25g, would the tank be too small for them at their full size? And if i do, how do i know if its a male or female?
thanks for any tips :)

thats too small for one. Those suckers get almost oscar sized. Id say no more than 1 in a 33g, and 55g for two
If you want a cichlid for the 25g, you can try 1 severum, or some dwarf cichlids like kribs and rams

I would say a 55 gallon is absolute minimum for ONE adult JD. At least 75 for two.
Also, a 25gal is wayy to small for a severum. Unless it is a juvenile

I agree at least 55 gallons for one. You could keep some dwarfs cichlids in a 33 gallon, tho, or some rams.
