What type of pleco would work best. Just your average one, or something a little more flashy? My LFS has large common plecos, but not a lot of larger, more showy ones, except for Green Phantoms. Anybody know a better pleco that would grow large enough?
Just saw your other thread that you have a 240, most fancy plecos will work, like gold nuggets etc. Anything you are willing to pay for you can get.

Personally, if it was going with an Aro I'd get something big and hardy like a Common or Sailfin. But really, so long as it's not small enough to get eaten, it should be fine.

Sailfins are pretty cool looking.
Have you looked here yet?

There are a lot of species of plecos that are more rare (and expensive)
The most common fancy pleco would probably be the Gold nugget. Somewhat rare but not very expensive
Personally I think zebra plecs are amazing looking but they are going to cost considerably more
Type "fancy plecos" into google and you should get some more ideas pretty quick, just make sure to research their care requirements before you commit to one

I would go with something a little larger. I used to love my Rhino Pleco! I have a decent sized Albino Chocolate Pleco in with my Aro now...all works well.

I have 4 different types of plecos in with my aro. Give them hiding spots and they should be fine.

I have the one in the my pic still, he's about 5''. How fast will he grow though? Thea ro will be 5'' when I get him ( Hopefully next week!) but I know they grow extremely fast.
