I recently discovered gill flukes on my white clouds. First symptoms were "flicking" driftwood by two of the fish. Then one of them started to have flaired gills which, on closer inspection, had a few tiny threads attached. After two salt baths they look much better. However, I have cories in the tank as well and I don't believe I can salt bath them (correct?). They have no symptoms yet from what I can tell, but how can I get rid of the underlying problem? I hear the eggs are very difficult to kill. I was recommended Praziquantel in the general forum, but what is the best delivery medication?
I think the flukes got into the tank from recently purchased plants. Is that possible?
For those fearing ammonia burn, all parameters are good (0 ammonia/nitirites, 5-10 nitrates using API test kit), and have been for a long time.
Thanks for your help!
