My plant package came in today, and man is it HUGE. By my quick count I think there's dang near 30 plants in there. So I am ready to totally rescape the tank.

I have a huge piece of driftwood going in and some new rocks. All of the silk plants will come out along with the current rockwork. There is a bit of manzanita wood that many or may not stay, depending on the look. And there are a few current plants that will stay.

I'm assuming it would be best to relocate the inhabitants of the tank while I rescape. Would it be best to move them to the 29 gallon and put the whisper hang on back over there for a bit? Or split them and put some there and some in a cooler? I'm worried about how the angel and the gouramis are going to act in a small space. Also worried about catching the tiny otos. But I certainly don't want to squash anybody in the process.

Definatly move the fish out and give the tank a good cleaning and a chance to play with your hardscape, I would just put them into the cooler with their tank water and a filter be easier to deal with re-catching them then. Keep the cooler covered so nobody jumps out and its dark, it will calm stress.

If I didn't know better I'd think you were stalking me HAHAHA

The cooler does sound much easier to catch everyone. I think I've got a couple of good, clean coolers that I could use.

Super excited after looking at the great selection of plants I got.
