Suggestions on dealing with my glass top

I have a perfecto glass top on my 20G tank. I'm about to set it up for a single female convict. I don't want her to jump out and the plastic piece from the back is missing.

Is there a home repair way to deal with the gap or would be simpler to just buy a new top since they are less than 20$?

You can buy the replacement back plastic strip for a couple of bucks at your LFS or online. :22:

duct tape works too. Or anything she can't move would work. You can use a peice of wood until you find the peice, but it will mold and start to rot from the moisture eventually.
