There, I think this might work now, this is the sink wall in my classroom! I painted it years ago.

One of my friends has a basment, and she had this HUGE window well. Like this one ( [Only Registered Users Can See Links.] ), except it was solid concrete. She got tired of looking at it every day, so she painted it like an ocean. Its kinda cool. The room i will be moving into into our basement has a window well too. So i might have to get my creative juices flowing!

Heh, yeah. The ocean part minus some of the fish was the first thing I painted - about 10 years ago (good grief I'm old) then 2 years ago I painted the entire soffit area above the ocean with - what else? - a beach scene and a long art quote (Every child is an artist, the problem is trying to remain one when they grow up - Picasso)
Then last year the kids decided it needed more fishies. Hence the shark, and some smaller made-up colorful fish on the walls.
The janitors are always asking when I'm going to finish the REST of the walls so they don't ever have to touch up again! :hmm3grin2orange:

Yea, white walls, bland colors, and there are no windows in my school either.

BAH!! Not MY classroom that's for sure - I DEFY anyone to find a 5"x5" space empty! LOL
I'm in the school of thought that it's not distracting, where as others can think it's too much stimulation. But hey, it's the ART ROOM- you want plain and clean walls? This is not the place for you - move along.
:)

Theres an idea! I would like to get a really thick window, seal off the house, and fill it with water, but thats not an option.
