Florida Gar

I know my tank is to small but I just wanted to say my LFS has a shipment of gar in. I saw them eat and most of the food barely hit the water. There only 5 inches long but still very agressive. Just wanted to share. :ssmile:

Sweet! I would love to raise up a small gar. Most of the one's I can get my hands on are 12"+ already.

Even at 6 inches they cost $16.

I do believe that this is a Florida Gar.

It was at my LFS back in the summer. It was huge ( around 2 - 3 foot long )

Now that is a cool looking fish. Makes me wish my kids were grown up so I could knock down the wall between their rooms and put a 2000 gallon aquarium in. (sigh) wishful thinking.
