No, this is not like it seems. Not about the best fish dinner ever. But about a nice restaurant that appreciates fish!

Yesterday, i took my girlfriend out to dinner in a restaurant in Kaslik area (in Lebanon), and wow did i Enjoy it!

This place had 3 large aquariums next to each other on display with big fish inside!

Each aquarium was around 2.5-3 meters long, 1.5 meters high, and about 1.5 meters wide.

They had 1 meter Arowanas, quite a few 1 meter pangasius catfishes, and some other huge fish of which half a meter Plecos, 30-40 cm Oscars or similar chichlids, and another 1 meter arowana-like fish (dunno which type but it looks like an arowana with its mouth pointing 3/4 down instead of all up), some 15cm blood parrots and other fish

The tanks looked awsome, so im describing them:

The background was all blue giving it a nice sea-like and deep feeling
Bubble curtains were filling the aquariums
Average planting but with big rocks and wood decoration
Hidden Lights all over

So if any of you ever had to come to Lebanon (Middle East), ill take you out to a nice dinner where you could eat chicken or beaf but watch aquarium fish!

I'll be there in time for dinner. :) Sounds great. I used to go to this bowling alley that had an aquarium wall. You could sit in the bar and look thru the tank at the bowlers.

We were at a Shell's resturant Friday night (20 year anniversary!) and they have a beautiful 150g saltwater tank. There was a guinea puffer in there along with a hippo tang (Dory), clownfish (Nemo), picasso trigger, naso tang, some yellow tailed blue damsels....very nice!!
Not only that but the grilled trout was outstanding!! :ezpi_wink1:

Restaurant with at least one good and big aquarium can also help keeping small kids amused.

Even my dentist has an aquarium in the waiting room, pretty good one too!

I just have to note that it feels uncomfortable eating fish while watching a huge aquarium...

I ordered chicken thumbs2:

Sounds like a nice setup, our local chinese resturant has a tank of about 15G top's with 1 full grown red devil in it, I pity him every time I go in there.

Hey that's really cool! I passsed by this sushi place the other day and they had these saltwater tanks with a lionfish and puffer fish in them. The tanks were kinda bare, but nice looking fish.
