Well I have never seen a white betta for sale here, and we have 3 unused tanks ATM, so we decided we should grab him. got some tiger platties and a bamboo shrimp as well as a "lyretail guppy" (looks like a guppy/endler hybrid), but the pics didn't turn out so well. Will try and get some better ones tomorrow.

thanks!

I had never seen a white one in person either. In the right light its almost platinum.

Amazed I got such a good pic with the borrowed camera. Perhaps the flaw is not in the camera after all but the user...:11:

Will be playing more with it tomorrow, so expect lots of crummy closeups of fish.

He's definitely an awesome fish! Beautiful! I'd have snapped him up without a second thought.

PHOTO TIPS: Set camera to MACRO, get close, no flash, auto ISO, and a bright daylight lamp above the tank. Darken the rest of the room to reduce glare. TAKE LOTS OF PICS as you're not wasting film. Just shoot and shoot and shoot, pick out the best pics. Good luck!

Soo Scrup- if you ever see a white one, how much will it cost me to get it to Northern VA??? Almost all I can find here are blue, red the occasional interestingly colored one, but never any like that.

Although I must say, I was excited to find the orange one, and even more excited for the one that took a trip up the python- the pretty iridescent white/opal one. But even he wasn't white like that one is!

well we plan on attempting to breed some once we get the rest of the tanks sorted out, so who knows.

I can tell ya I won't be traveling to north VA anytime in the next 45 years if I can help it, but mail is always an option. Shoot me a PM so I dont forget.

Lol, last year I made the trek from MD to CO, only took 3 days. I do not miss a single thing about the upper east coast.
