Snails in my new 25g long

I just set up a new 25g long and i have 2 dwarf gouramis ad 2 small barracudas ( 3-4 inches) and i was wondring if i could keep snails with them, if so what kind and how many should i get? I want enough to have them mulitiply. Anyone have any tips/ideas?

Theres those baseball sized african snails that are cool, but are hard to breed, and believe me after mine bred you can make alot of money selling eggs. Try some plain old apple snails, mystery snails, or those regular ones at the lfs

beware the breeding snail! They can easily become very numerous and invasive!

i remember my old 10g literally had about 200 snails, and once a fish died it was a SWARM of snails.

ditto, you can always locate an uneaten wafer or dead fish for that matter. I had a fancy guppy die once, and my ghost shrimp looked so funny after eating the fins!!! then the swarm of snails kept me from having to remove the fish, it was gone later that day! right now, i probly have about 20 tiny baby round snails in my 75g, and about 19 million MTS, which I keep under control via vacuum!

I have extremely few snails. Theres only about 5 in the planted 20g that hitched a ride on plants, thats it

Slower than pond/ramshorn/mts I believe. I removed 20 ramshorns a while back and a few days later, saw at least another 10 babies.

...I dunno...I just looked in the jar...I bought five...but counted 6!

ok well thanks for the help guys. One of my 2 dwarf gouramis is picking on my other one and now their both a bit scrached up so my lfs offered me to take him back to him and he pays me back. I am probably going to ask him to trade it in for one or 2 mystery snails.
