I have a Huge Alge problem in my 20g Crayfish tank. Everything from Glass to gravel to the Rock is Dark Green. I bought a 4'' Pleco today to try to clean up the alge. The Pleco is fast, but on the second attempt the Crayfish grambed that Pleco.

Snails are to slow
Shrimp are to small
Pleco don't work
Most Chemical harm Invertabraes
I tried cleaning it, but the Brown Alge just turned Green and then I cleaned it again and the alge came back even Greener.

I think we need to establish why the algae is there in the first place. Too much light? Something is wrong to create so much algae.

Cover up the tank for 3 days with a towel - no light at all. Do a daily 50% water change during this period. Repeat if neccesary. But gm is right, you should be getting to the cause of the algae. What's your ammonia/nitrite/nitrate? Is it in direct sunlight?
