Wriggly red worms inside filter?!?

Hi,

I found lots of tiny wriggly red colored worms amongst the filter media while I was cleaning the big canister filter for my dad's goldfish pond. Does anyone know what they are?!?

Most likely blackworms or maybe tubifex worms.

Sounds like tubifex worms. They're frequently found in pond filters.

They are tubiflex.Shake them off in to the pond for the goldys,they go nuts for them.Wait till you find one of there "colony pods" in the water,talk about disgusting.
