I just found this forum and thought it was the most informative of all that I have browsed. My name is Rae, and I'm new to fish. I used to own a black moor when I was 12 but I didn't give it the proper attention that fish need (ie, water quality, proper food, lights, tank size etc.) Amazingly enough, that fish lived for 7 years until my sister had to take it for me and she neglected it too much.

I'm ready to start fresh. I want to really learn how to keep an aquarium the proper way.

Welcome aboard. Please do yourself a favor and read the free ebook that you can download from the menu to your left. Great information. Also read the excellent sticky post about fishless cycling, it is THE way to go! Ask lots of questions, too!
