Well it seems like one of my leleupi is dead set on destroying the tank and escaping to freedom.

Heard a small 'thud' come from the tank, and took a look. Managed to shift a few rocks. The large rock below was almost completely buried in the sand, from this morning till this evening when I noticed, he's managed to dig the sides facing the glass out.

close up of the tunnel under the rock. Any more progress and I'm fairly sure the rock would have toppled into the glass!!!, well that or crushed him.

keeps going through his side tunnel and then coming out of his hideout

I just finished rearranging the larger stones, no chance of toppling now.

That fish looks bada$$ Kind of like "Ya, I did that. What are you going to do about it? I'll do it again if you try and fix it too."

Do you every worry about one of them successfully breaking the tank?

The funny thing is he's the runt of litter and causes the most trouble. Moved all the stones with sharp edges far away from sides. All the big stones, have them sitting on their flat edges in the tank, so no rolling anymore.

That is why you should always make sure rocks rest on the glass (or eggcrate if you're using that to distribute weight) rather than the sand. Some folks silicone the rockpiles together too, though I never went that far.
