...I'm RvL.

Living in Nijmegen, in the east of The Netherlands. I recently bought a 54 liter (14 gallon) aquarium and I've almost reached the moment to put in the first fish!

I'll probably start with some Neon/Cardinal tetra and/or some Guppy's. Can you recommend me some other fish for a new tank?

Welcome to AC!

Is the tank cycled? Please read the free E-book for info on starting your tank.

I really like ghost shrimp in a small tank.

Welcome to the Forums! I'd recommend Sparkling Gourami if you can get ahold of them. They don't get any bigger than an 1.5" and their laid back attitude should go well with any Neons or Tetras you may end up stocking

Hi! Nice to see another Dutch member!

Be careful not to overstock your tank. For 14g I'd stick with guppies if you like them...

You could easily add a betta to that tank!

Welcome to the Fabulous AC!:22:

Welcome to the forum! thumbs2: I would suggest adding a betta! They are full of personality! I would add it last though, that way you will have less chance of him claiming his territory and being aggressive to your other fish.

Welcome to AC, glad you're here. You could try a few endlers, the males are very colorful and they stay real small and seem to be a real hardy fish.

Thank you all for your warm welcome! I'm feeling at home already ;-)

Yes, the tank has cycled already, with the help of some bottled bacterial friends.

The first fish will probably move in this friday. Will start with a small school of tetra probably. And will of course look into your suggestions as well.

A few shrimps will also be added. Fun to look at imo and useful creatures too!
