What is good for these fish as far as Temp/PH/hardness?
Would they do well with some black mollies and silver lyre tail mollies?

They'd be almost pefect tankmates for mollies. They'd eat any fry that came!
A good temperature is between 72-78F.
As for PH and hardness you likely have the same paramaters as your local fish store, so unless you have to get them from REALLY far away you're likely fine, whatever they are.
What size tank do you want to put it in?

Not sure about the compatability of the gourami and black mollies. The mollies are generally nippy fish from what i have heard and read but I have never kept them.

eventually I'm thinking of putting 3 or so in a 40 gal. with 6 mollies and maybe a few corys as well.

It'd be safer to do 2 in a 40 as they're often very angry towards other males if they don't have a harem to herd around.
IF however you can get females (they look silver/gray instead of red or blue) you could have 2 males and 4 females, with six mollies, and a school of corydoras.
