I replace the bulbs in my 10g betta tank with some CFLs and they have massivly brightened up the tank. Better viewing, and light for "future" plants.

My Question is: Is two lights to much?

I have two small betta tanks. One is 1gal, the other is 1.5gal. They're both planted and have a 20W 6500k CFL over them. And that's not too much light for them so I doubt you're using too much.

That will be fine. If you find your betta a bit nervous, he'll get used to it. You can add a few floating plants to get the betta more comfortable.

Yup yup. He didn't seem to care much, I just wanted to make sure.
