newbie to tanks

i have a 10 gal tank with nothinjg in it and just wondering what i should stat with. other then gold fish. if someone could help it would be great. :confused:

okay. First, cycle the tank ( theres a sticky on it, or download the e-book )

Goldfish arent for 10g's, only 20g's and up. For a 10g you could try...

2 platys
5 neon tetras
1 otto cat
3 corys

or

Betta
5 corys

or

just 15 tetras

Theres plenty more combinations

For your first tank, keep it lightly stocked. No more than 5-6 total of those fish cocoa listed. The more overcrowded a tank is, the harder it is to maintain and the more likely it is to crash.
