So last night I put my huge female into a breeder trap, and this morning I noticed one or two eggs. Well now theere are a bunch scattered all over the bottom.

They wount hatch will they? Well they look pretty neat, lol.

Platies don't lay eggs, they are live bearers. They give birth to live young.

Can you get a pic of that Hailey?

If it looks like there are eggs it probably just means that she dropped the developing fry while they were in her, which means they're likely already dead and not salvageable anyways. Sorry.

Oh I know, but mine did

And I will try to get pics, but my camera is horrible. The eggs are clear, with a bit of white inside at the top of them. Obviously dead though.

I wonder if she dropped early?
Those breeder traps are notorious for stressing fish.I have never had success with them.
I used hornswort for my guppies.I just let the breed free in the tank.

Livebearers have a habit of going into labor early when they are stressed (breeder nets stress them) If the babies are not developed enough, they will come out as eggs. Probably a little ball with two black eye spots on it right?

sorry to hear, but you most likely lost them all.
