I know that snails can't tolerate meds, can shrimp? This isn't because of a problem, just a curiosity. I'm thinking of meds for ick and finrot, etc.

Anything containing copper too. Most ich meds use copper sulfate. If you are treating ich with shrimp in the tank, then just raise the temperature, add some salt, do water changes and add stresscoat. For fungus, Pimafix is invert safe I believe.

What about for fin rot? I know you treat with antibiotics as the cause is a gram negative bacteria. Are the antibiotics okay for inverts?

Not sure about that. AFAIK, Melafix and Pimafix are fine for anything, and Melafix treats finrot.

Cool, just a curiosity/information building question. Thanks, man!

The few times I've had to resort to meds I've never noticed any effect on the snails.
