Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone has ever done a tank that runs along the entire perimeter of a room. It would be cool to see, though the room would need to be accessible by trap door or stairs since there couldnt be any doors. or maybe there could be a gap for a door, but that would ruin the continuity of the tank.
Extremely cool idea but I haven't ever seen or heard of anything like that before.

Just build the tank around and over the door (closed water bridge) to make it even better. thumbs2:

That would be an awesome idea for a basement, you could get around the door problem that way (and the weight issues). It would be cool to have a light current going through and set it up like a stream or river. Or kick up the current, chill the water, and stock it with salmon!!!
Why don't you get started and send us pics of your progress! :hmm3grin2orange:

What an awesome display that would be. Great idea!

You would need a huge room to keep the depth of the tank at a decent size but I love the idea.A 20,000 gallon tank would be awesome!:19:

Talk about maintenance being a full time job!
I love the IDEA of it, but it would have to be a "post retirement" project for sure!

That's assuming you have a substantial retirement check. I imagine that the $$ amount for montly maintenance/supplies/electricity/water would be huge.
Of course you would have enough tank space that you could probably set up a great breeding setup and sell fish to offset costs.
Or just charge admission for people to come to your house lol.:hmm3grin2orange:

thats the post for it.
10000 gallon water changes weekly.
$1200 electric bill and $1200 oil bill (for heating) and he doesn't run the pumps all the time.
Don't wanna know what he spends on food.

As far as that bathroom goes, I don't think I could ever spend that much time and money on something that I'll only ever see while on the john. The one fun thing would be to watch anybody going to take a drunken piss fall over in amazement when they open the door lol. Would much rather build a tank inside a wall around my tv or something and just have a curtain available for movie time and such :ssmile: . That I could live with and I think it would be quite a bit cheaper than that other monstrosity of a tank. Can't imagine where they get the money and time to do that without it actually being their job. I'd be just as amazed to see them do maintenance work on that tank as actually watching the tank itself.
