We've been researching these for over a year so finally we broke down bought one, its an ORA gold maxima. We picked it up at a petco that is allowing a friend in our local reef club to run its SW department. The SW department looks awesome and only stocks ORA fish and coral. We got him for 40% off for being in the reef clubthumbs2:

Nice clam!:1luvu:

One of mine was doing really well until my pseudo-crash...the 2nd one I bought didn't make it...not sure why.

I'm starting to suspect that my anemones are giving off a chemical...but I can't test for that...

I did enjoy the clam though! Funny how much fun such a 'simple' creature can provide...thumbs2:

Thank you everyone. So far its doing well and appears to be very healthy. I found him on his side this morning so I repositioned it to where I wanted, half on the rock, half in the sand and hopefully he will attach there soon and not move again. I'm picking up phytofeast tonight to start target feeding it and am debating on also ordering some live phytofeast to start getting a live phyto population going in the tank
