I'm rearing this predatory fish (bowfin),

These fishes are fighting each other and some of them are badly injured. Could anybody help me solve this problem?

I watch documentaries alot I found that
only the male threatens when another male enters its teretory but in this case my fish is biting everything on its sight!!:help:

how big are the fish and how big is the tank? If its large enough, you need to make territories each can stay in, like visual barriers and such. If the tank is too small for the number you have, there is no way to stop them.

absolutely correct. you need the right size tank or bigger, and you need to create territories and break up line of sight.

also, always remember that fish don't read books or watch the discovery channel. there are no guarantees in terms of personality/behaviour.

Well my tank size are

20g (freshwater, 2 unidentified sex bowfin)

30g (freshwater, 6 unidentified sex bowfin fry)


The bowfin in the 20g tank is about 17cm & the bowfin in the 30g tank is about 6cm.By the way thanks for the information.:wink2:
