We took our hammer coral off of the rock it was mounted to get it closer to the sandbed and noticed we had a mystery sps growing on it the rock. It looks like it encrust and it has small green polyps. Due to the polyp size I'm thinking some type of montipora, but what type. Thank you for any help

to me it looks like an Acropora by the way its starting to branch in the top right area, it sort of looks like a Garf Bonsai.

I think it is too early to make a call on this... post some pics in a month or two once it has grown a bit more.

Thank u everyone. The more i look at it the more it looks like an acro. A friend recently gave us an ORA pink acro and it looks very similar in skeloton color, structure and polyp shape. The ora one just has differant color polyps. Time will tell exactly what it is. Its already growing great. Ill keep you updated
