Well my daughter's betta, Fancy Wancy, has 12 ghost shrimp in his 5.5 gallon tank and they are doing very well. No animosity at all. Very cool combination I think!

Glad it worked out! Someone posted a while ago saying their Betta had choked and died trying to eat a ghost shrimp, lol.

Good lord that would have been interesting to see! Yeah, we had 5 shrimp in there to start with, all was well, so my wife went back to Walmart and got 7 more. 26 cents each!

The only ones that dont get eaten are in my 20g planted. They stick into the java moss with the corys, who lay in it all the time, and the shrimp like the driftwood and cabomba

Keep the betta well fed or he might go after the ghost shrimp. It honestly depends on the betta...some will eat them some don't care for them.

I keep them very well fed. Interesting behavior tonight though--the ghost shrimp (3 of them, anyway) swam up to the top and, upside-down, managed to grab some flakes of food. Too cool!
