Shortly after my tank got cycled on December I notice I started getting some type of "brow looking algae" even tho I try to clean most of it off my decorations and fake plats, it keeps coming back...
Any suggestions on what can it be causing it and how to get rid of it?
Thank you:help:

What you're seeing are diatoms. It should clear up as your tank matures, scrubs off easily, and is harmless.

Not a concern unless you have live plants or a personal beef with this micro organism.

Alot of fish like to eat diatoms. It won't hurt anything unless you have live plants, then it can block the light from getting to them. It is very easy to wipe off and most the time will run it's course and be gone in a couple of months.

+2 for diatoms.its completely normal in a new tank. they will go away after the tank matures, or if you have the room a few bushynose plecos will clean it up in a day or two

Thank you all unfortunately I have no more space for another fish, but I do have live plants (anubias) and the leafs are getting it all over but as long as is not harmful for the other fish and for the bacteria it's fine...I gotta admit it makes the tank look really dirty :sconfused:

Just brush it off the leaves so the plants still get light, otherwise its just an eye sore. Its easy to remove if it bothers you, but isnt required except for the live plants.
