As an Austinite, I suppose it's my duty to say hook 'em, Horns... but I graduated from Baylor and, well, our football team would never get near any sort of big game. All the same, sic 'em, Bears!!!

that game was well played though saying we had a freshman qb who was ready to wet himself most of the game. (anyone else see him crying? poor kid)

I think the Tide would still have won but I would like to see the game again with McCoy healthy I think it would have been a barn burner.

I hate he got hurt, but that is what happens when you play with the big dogs. Even if he had played it would not have mattered. The freshman played very well in the 4th qtr. he found shipley repeatedly but in the end our defense was just to much.

Not so sure I agree. Had McCoy been in, that dumb shuffle pass wouldn't have happened at the end of the first half, and the fumble at the 3yd line in the 4th probably wouldn't have happened either. I think if McCoy had been in the whole dynamic of the game would have changed and I don't think you can say really who would have won. Just my $.02 worth, and hey, what do I know, I'm a poor Michigan fan. :scry:

BAMA!!!!

I still love watching the replay of a shuffle pass interception to a TD...I think that is the first time that has ever happened in football history lol

The shuffle pass was not the QB's falt, that was great defense. The sack in the 4th was also a defensive play, if superman had been hit that hard he would have fumbled too.

The shuffle pass was not the QB's falt, that was great defense. Sure, it was good defense... on a boneheaded call by the coaching staff. With McCoy in there they would never have made that call. Even the experts said that was a dumb call. That pass, at that time, against that defense with that QB was a retarded play call. Everything was stacked against them making is successful.

yea i agree it was a stupid call, i hate that McCoy got hurt but that is part of the game. This was bama's year, i dont think it would have really mattered who was QB. Bama always starts slow then puts it on in the 2nd half, texas had an awesome defense in the 2nd half. And the freshman and shipley tore us up too, they looked like it was McCoy and shipley out there.

You think you guys are confused, shoulda seen me at the bar last night, musta heard that a million times. I asked a friend to explain, but it was so loud I couldn't catch what he was saying. I'm not really a sports person, so I was clueless, but at least it kept the drinks flowing.
