I was thinking about getting this 5 gallon with power fliter and hood with light all that it needs is a heater which is 10 bucks the one it suggests well what all could I put in a 5 gallon a darwf gourimi with say so dainos and guppies or some type of tetras?

For that kind of setup a ten gallon would serve you much better. A five gallon would be better for a lone betta.

I kept a betta with a couple of guppies in my 5g. Right now it's Endler's and RCS. Not much you can do in the way of fish with a 5g.

I wouldn't put a dwarf gourami or danios in a five gallon. Maybe celestial pearl danios, but not zerbra danios. They are very active fish that need a long tank. A small school of ember tetras may work too, or look into the smaller killifish. A betta is always a good choise too.
