Well we just got some sad news the other day.... Turns out the apartment we've been renting just got sold, so in mid-July, we have to move. I wanted to get some good ideas going first on the best methods to move a tank.

We have a 60 Gallon saltwater aquarium with a colony of snails, an Eel, and a Mexican Tang, also about 75lbs of Live Rock. The furthest distance we'll have to move is 20 miles. Anyone have any hints, tips, suggestions on accomplishing this in the easiest way possible???

drain the tank, and transfer the fish in either a 20g or buckets.

Buy a battery powered air pump ( petsmart has them) and the tank(s) or bucket(s) each an aerator.

You'll lose some of the live part of the live rock, but thats about it.

You may lose 1 or 2 fish too

good luck
