Nice silver! Looks like he is growing well. If he is going into your 220, you may want to beef up your filtration for such a busy tank.

When i move him to the 220 i will b moving most of the smaller cichlids to a new tank, frontosas and taiwan reef will be his mates.

Sounds like a good plan! He is nearing the size to go into the 220 I think. Check params of both tanks closely so there is no acclimation problems. I've seen 2 tanks in the same house using same tapwater have much different params. I hope you have a heavy, tight-fitting lid on that 220. The bigger aros get, the more they like to jump! :fish:

Yea he is already pretty rowdy. I have a glass canopy on top, i am going to cut some 2x4's for the top to brace it.All my tanks are about the same parameters.

He's looking very healthy and has perfect finnage. I'd hate to see anything bad happen to him. Great job with him and you will be rewarded when you have that beast in your 220! :ssmile:

Mine has also become a very aggressive eater. Makes a big splash now whenever I feed him. Still makes me jump sometimes. Wait till your aro is double the length and 5x the bulk! :hmm3grin2orange: It won't take long!

So how long is yours now? Do you feed every day? Had any more fish get eaten?

I feed him once a day and he usually fasts one day a week. Right now it's smelt, superworms, and rainbow trout in rotation. He's doing very well and loves to eat. I've been handfeeding him as much as possible. He heals his jumping wounds and missing scales quickly and without meds. I do 30% wcs twice a week. No more fish have been eaten since the poor farlowella cat. lol. He beats up on my 15" pleco sometimes, but the pleco laughs at him still.

PS, this is my 4000th post! :shappy:
